We stopped by for lunch on the Monday after Christmas. The open sandwiches we ordered were delicious, although the serving size of chunky chips was a bit small. The hotel offers a beautiful view of the beach, which we enjoyed while observing the passing scene.

Today, I went to have lunch with a friend. I loved it! The decor was warm and inviting, and the Christmas decorations were beautifully done. The staff were welcoming, and the food was excellent. Keep up the great work, it was lovely, thank you.

This week, we hosted my late father's wake at this venue. Paul and the team had everything expertly planned and organized, making it a smooth and drama-free event. We are grateful for the effort put into giving Dad a good send-off. The finger buffet served was delicious and plentiful, with leftovers boxed up for friends who couldn't attend. A big thank you to Paul, the receptionists, servers, and kitchen staff. I wholeheartedly recommend The Wentworth as a first-class venue for any event.

The Wentworth is situated in a fantastic location, and we thoroughly enjoyed our sea view room. However, the room was a bit small, especially with two dogs, making it feel cramped. The pillows were uncomfortable and the bed felt too hard. The auto-setting of the heating made it difficult to adjust, resulting in an uncomfortably warm room. The bathroom seemed outdated, with a barely functional shower that didn't meet our expectations. We expected amenities such as bedside plugs and a smart TV for the price of £249 per night. The overall ambiance of the place felt like a lounge in a retirement home. On a positive note, breakfast was delicious with the best bacon we've ever had. Unfortunately, the bar staff on Saturday evening seemed stressed and made us feel like a burden when ordering drinks. However, the reception and restaurant staff were polite and helpful. Despite the room experience, we may return to Aldeburgh, but not to the Wentworth.

This place is amazing, situated right on the seafront with wonderful staff and an excellent menu. Don't miss out on it just because you think it may not be your style.

An ideal spot to spend a weekend by the coast. The staff is lovely, the food is delicious, and the hotel feels like a home away from home. We can't wait to return soon.

I had a delightful conversation with young Sam, who is an outstanding barman and a valuable asset to the hotel. I hope all the staff are as excellent as him. The setting is lovely as well.

A fantastic light lunch at the Wentworth. The location is great, the lounges are comfortable, and the food is excellent, all at reasonable prices.

Not meeting the standards of our past visits for Sunday lunch. The staff appeared indifferent and the food wasn't very hot. Although I raised the issue with the waitress, she didn't seem very interested. We plan to give it another try on a Sunday, hoping for better quality, as we generally enjoy the hotel. If the experience doesn't improve, we may not return.

Truly outstanding service. The most proactive and friendly staff I've ever come across. They went the extra mile to ensure our stay was wonderful, even driving us to the station when our taxi didn't show up. The food was delicious as well.

Despite the hotel being decorated, there is an unpleasant smell in the reception area. The bedrooms are clean but need updating. The hairdryer provided, fixed to the bathroom wall, seems outdated. There are no USB ports in the room, no electrical sockets near the bedside tables, and no small fridge for storing cold items. The presence of long-life UHT milk in the bedroom is noted. The room tariff should reflect modern standards, not those of the 1980s.

An older-style coastal hotel with a touch of charm. The bar and restaurant are open to all, with a nice terrace overlooking the sea. I visited but didn't stay overnight.
